President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is set to visit the Kingdom of Thailand to participate in the 35th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit and Related Summits that will be held in Bangkok and Nonthaburi, Thailand from November 1-4, 2019.
The President shall join his fellow ASEAN Member Leaders in meeting with their Dialogue Partners to pursue further cooperation and partnership towards achieving the ASEAN vision and goal that “no one will be left behind”.
The 35th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits is expected to discuss the ASEAN’s Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity 2025 that is supported by China, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
The regional bloc shall also discuss strategic partnership in countering terrorism, violent extremism and transnational crimes, pursue sustainable development goals, counter the spread of pandemics, disaster management, climate change and environmental conservation.
