President Rodrigo Roa Duterte joined his fellow Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Leaders in meeting Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi of the Republic of India during the 16th ASEAN-India Summit held in Nonthaburi, Thailand.

In the meeting, the leaders discussed the strategic partnership between ASEAN and India in countering terrorism, violent extremism and transnational crimes, as well as cooperation to promote maritime security and cyber security.

They also talked about economic cooperation that aims to increase trade value between India and ASEAN.
