President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. visits the Kingdom of Cambodia to participate in the 40th and 41st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summits and Related Summits in the capital city of Phnom Penh from November 10-13, 2022.

The President joins his fellow ASEAN Leaders in meeting with their Dialogue Partners to pursue further cooperation and partnership in achieving the regional bloc’s theme of “Addressing Challenges Together,” aiming to build a “harmonious ASEAN community that is peaceful, stable and prosperous.”

This year’s Summit objective is geared towards ASEAN’s goal of addressing both regional and global challenges that include the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and sustainable development, rivalries between major powers, protectionism, territorial disputes, trade wards and technology rivalries, as well as traditional and non-traditional security threats.

The President also takes this opportunity to meet with the Filipino Community in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
