This page is in honor of the late Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesus ‘Jesse’ Manalastas Robredo who died in a plane crash off the shores of Masbate Island with Captain Jesse Bahinting and Nepalese co-pilot Kshitiz Chand on August 18, 2012. Their bodies were retrieved three days after an extensive search operation.

Sec. Robredo was a multi-awarded political leader who first served as mayor of Naga City before assuming office at the Department of Interior and Local Government under President Benigno S. Aquino III in 2010. Known for his humility and good leadership, his legacy continues to glow in the hearts of his family and of those who believe in him.
