Working Visit of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte
to the Republic of Indonesia
September 8-9, 2016

 

Following his participation to the 28th and 29th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summits and Related Summits in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is embarking on his second ASEAN member nation visit to the Republic of Indonesia on September 8-9, 2016.

The President is set to meet with his fellow leader, Indonesian President Joko Widodo, to discuss and strengthen the existing bilateral relations between the Philippines and Indonesia.

It is also anticipated that the President will meet with the Filipino community in Indonesia on the first day of his working visit. After the said gathering, he will proceed to Kalibata (Heroes’ Cemetery) in South Jakarta to pay respect to the Indonesian national heroes and fallen soldiers.
