Istana Merdeka Grounds, Jakarta

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte was received by Indonesian President Joko Widodo in a Welcome Ceremony held in Jakarta.

On the President’s arrival, his motorcade first passed through the National Monument before advancing to the grounds of Istana Merdeka. He was accorded with a gun salute together with President Widodo, and proceeded to inspect the Guards of Honor.

A group of Indonesian school children clad in national costume were also present to welcome the visiting Philippine Head of State.

At the end of the ceremony, the two leaders were introduced to the members of their respective delegations.
