Confederation Hall, Parliament Hill

Accompanied by Prime Minister Stephen Harper, President Benigno S. Aquino III was formally welcomed inside the Confederation Hall of the Parliament Hill.

Ms. Elizabeth Rody, Chief of Protocol of the Parliament of Canada, introduced the President to the welcoming party consisting The Honourable Leo Housakos, Speaker pro tempore of the Senate; The Honourable Andrew Scheer, Speaker of the House of Commons; Mr. Charles Robert, Interim Clerk of the Senate of the Parliaments; Mr. Marc Bosc, Acting Clerk of the House of Commons; Superintendent J. Greg Peters, Usher of the Black Rod and Mr. Patrick McDonell, Deputy Sergeant-at-Arms.

President Aquino proceeded to sign the Distinguished Visitors Books of the Senate and of the House of Commons upon the invitation of the acting Speaker of the Senate, Leo Housakos, and Speaker of the House of Commons Andrew Scheer.
