President Rodrigo Roa Duterte graced the wedding of his police aide, P/SInsp. Sofia Loren Deliu, and her groom P/Insp. Abdul-Bassar Abdurajak, at the Madrid Ballroom of Palacio del Sur in Gov. Camins Road, Zamboanga City.

During the wedding, the President thanked the newly-wed couple for inviting him to come to the event.

“Marriage is not only about exchanging the sacred vows. It is also about committing a life filled with eternal love and happiness despite all hardships and difficulties,” President Duterte said.

He added that as newly-weds, they should take their time to adapt, know more about one another, and respect each other’s strengths and weaknesses.

“Respect and understand your differences and shortcomings and show the same kind of passion and determination at work as a peace officer in keeping your relationship stronger. Continue to grow as a couple and nurture one another as you bring out the best in each other. Best wishes on this wonderful journey as you start building your new lives together,” he said.

President Duterte was accompanied by his Special Assistant Christopher ‘Bong’ Go and some of his Cabinet Secretaries during the entourage.
