President Rodrigo Roa Duterte checked on the condition and situation of more Filipinos as he visited the typhoon-affected areas in Tisa, Cebu City on the aftermath of Typhoon ‘Odette’ (international name: Rai).

Considered to be the strongest typhoon to hit the country this year, Typhoon ‘Odette’ left a trail of devastation in several regions within the Visayas and Mindanao. The Province of Cebu, including Cebu City, is among the provinces that suffered great losses and wreckage, resulting to damages in properties and infrastructures, among others.

Following the situation, President Duterte declared a State of Calamity over six (6) regions to hasten all rehabilitation efforts and relief operations in the affected localities.
