President Rodrigo Roa Duterte visited the victims of Typhoon ‘Odette’ (international name: Rai) in an evacuation area in Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte.

Siargao Island is one of the hardest-hit areas in the country, where Typhoon ‘Odette’ made its very first landfall, prompting thousands of families to preemptively evacuate the area.

National government agencies (NGAs), local government units (LGUs) and volunteers are still conducting relief operations in the Island.
