President Benigno S. Aquino III gave comfort and spoke with the six wounded army officers recuperating at the Edwin Andrews Air Base (EAAB) Hospital, inside the EAAB compound at Zamboanga City.

The injured officers are the second batch of soldiers that the President visited today to show and reinforce the support of the administration in the conflict area.

The six injured officers are part of the 56 injured soldiers after the clash with the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) in Tipo-Tipo, Basilan on 9 April 2016 that also left 18 soldiers dead.
