“Bilang inyong Pangulo ay asahan ninyo na laging susuportahan ang agrikultura ng ating Administrasyon,” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. vowed as he assured Filipino farmers of constant improvement in the country’s agriculture sector through the provision of farming machineries, equipment and technology in order to promote self-sufficiency in the farming industry.

During his attendance to the distribution of various assistance from the Department of Agriculture (DA) in the Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, the President said that the country’s agriculture remains one of the government’s top priorities in strengthening the Philippine economy.

He emphasized the importance of a value system that will make the country ‘independent’ in the agricultural sector and not depend mostly on importation. These include enhancement of production, research and development, local manufacture of machineries and transportation of commodities, among others.

Likewise, President Marcos Jr. urged all agencies for the continuous implementation of programs that will ensure both high production of commodities and proper income for the farmers.
