Roxas Street, Davao City
September 3, 2016
After a close-door meeting at the Police Provincial Office, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte inspected the blast site where a bomb ripped through the crowded night market in Roxas Street, leaving 14 people dead and 66 people injured.
Located just across the Ateneo de Davao Campus, the bomb took off at 10:20 pm where crowds gathered for the usual night market. According to witnesses, the bomb went off from the massage area where a backpack was left. Intensity of the blast carved a trauma on the concrete pavement, around it; pools of blood, ripped of belongings and torn up monoblock chairs littered the floor area. The investigation on what group is behind the bomb incident is still ongoing.
