In celebration of the 81st birth anniversary of his mother, President Benigno S. Aquino III paid a visit to late President Corazon “Cory” Aquino’s tomb at the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City.

An icon of Philippine democracy, President Cory was the country’s 11th and first Filipina president. She died nearly four years ago after battling colon cancer for a year. She was buried beside her husband, opposition leader and former senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. who was assassinated in 1983.
