President Benigno S. Aquino III visited three semiconductor and electronics companies in Laguna, one of which is the Integrated Micro-electronics Incorporated or I.M.I., as the country commemorated Labor Day 2014.

The President, together with Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz and TESDA Director-General Joel Villanueva, inspected several facilities and machineries of the said companies in Biñan and Calamba City, where the manufacturing sector’s robust growth in the country had been evident in recent years.

As the economy continues to soar, President Aquino lauded all the Filipino workers that contributed much to the country’s development, saying that this Labor Day, the true treasures of the Philippines are its hardworking citizens, whose sacrifice and dedication mean much to the nation.

President Aquino then appealed to the nation to continue supporting the government for it to achieve better results, and that the future leaders should be good enough to carry on with the plans for a better Philippines.
