President Benigno S. Aquino III held a dialogue with third year high school students as he paid a visit to Hope Christian High School in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

In one writing activity, these students wrote a letter addressed to President Aquino on matters concerning the Chief Executive himself and relief assistance to devastated areas of super typhoon Yolanda, as some students of HCHS were adopted from Tacloban City.

During the interaction, the President explained government’s efforts in delivering immediate aid to affected areas. He also elaborated on transparencies in the allocation of financial donations which can be browsed online.

HCHS is one of the prestigious Christian schools in Manila who led in providing educational support to students distressed and forcedly displaced by super typhoon Yolanda. Through their “Share God’s Hope: Operation Tacloban Project”, different types of assistance were channelled to their 181 adopted students from Tacloban. These students were provided lodging, tutorials, debriefing sessions, uniforms, books and all other educational needs.

Joining the President were Social Welfare and Development Secretary Corazon “Dinky” Soliman, Transportation and Communications Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya and HCHS Principal Angeline Tan.
