President Rodrigo Roa Duterte visited the facilities of the Arms Corporation of the Philippines (ARMSCOR) Global Defense, Inc. in Marikina City.

ARMSCOR Global Defense, Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Martin Tuason gave President Duterte a walking tour and briefing about the procedures and equipment used in producing high-quality firearms and ammunition.

ARMSCOR Global Defense, Inc. is one of the leading firearms and ammunition manufacturer in the world. Aside from its facility in Marikina City, the company also houses a production hub in the United States (US) wherein it employs mostly Filipino-American personnel.

Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana and Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año accompanied President Duterte in the visit.
