Today’s segment of USWAG, Pinas! Special Edition features the Philippines’ milestone as the country reaches over 10 million fully vaccinated Filipinos this month of August. As more and more supplies of vaccine doses are expected to arrive in the coming months, the Philippine Government intensifies the implementation of its mass vaccination program even with the imposition of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in several localities.

Derived from the Bisayan term ‘uswag’ which means progress, this special edition of the social media program aims to inform viewers about the ongoing mass immunization in different communities across the nation, the tireless efforts of healthcare workers and medical frontliners in battling the public health crisis, and interviews from inoculated Filipinos and medical experts on the benefits of getting the jab to further boost vaccine confidence amongst the people.
