Today’s segment of USWAG, Pinas! Special Edition highlights the convenience of drive-thru and mobile vaccination program initiated by the City Government of Davao in order to serve people with special needs, including mobility-challenged individuals, as well as to help persons with disabilities (PWDs) and persons with comorbidities who have difficulty going to city-run vaccination sites in the district centers due to long distance.

With the drive-thru vaccination, individuals are relieved of the burden of queuing in long lines and transferring from one station to another to be vaccinated.

As the local government of Davao City continues to reach far-flung areas through mobile vaccination, it continues to educate and encourage individuals to get inoculated, especially those belonging to the A2, A3 and A5 groups.

Derived from the Bisayan term ‘uswag’ which means progress, this special edition of the social media program aims to inform viewers about the ongoing mass immunization in different communities across the nation, the tireless efforts of healthcare workers and medical frontliners in battling the public health crisis, and interviews from inoculated Filipinos and medical experts on the benefits of getting the jab to further boost vaccine confidence amongst the people.

USWAG, Pinas! Special Edition is a flagship program of the Presidential Broadcast Staff – Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM).
