In today’s USWAG Pinas! Fist Agenda segment, take a look as President Duterte formally inaugurated the 7.5-MWp Tumingad Solar Power Project in Tablas Island in the Province of Romblon – the first and the largest hybrid-solar diesel microgrid with battery in the country.

The Tumingad Solar Power Project was developed by the Sunwest Water and Electric Company Inc. (SUWECO) in the hopes of providing a clean, green, and reliable electricity in Tablas Island. The projects costs P550 million and upon utilization, it is projected to save P180 million from the universal charge-missionary electrification subsidy per year. It is also expected to light up around 43,400 households in the whole island.
