Following the working lunch, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Teodoro Locsin, Jr. attended another Summit discussion on climate action, clean energy transformation and sustainable infrastructure at the United States (US) Department of State in Washington, D.C., USA.

Forming part of the agenda in the US-Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Special Summit, the event was hosted by American Vice President Kamala Harris with the attendance of US Cabinet Members.

The Special Summit was conducted on 12-13 May 2022 and coincided with the commemoration of 45 years of US-ASEAN relations.

Secretary Locsin participated in the Special Summit as the Representative of the Government of the Philippines.
