President Rodrigo Roa Duterte led the unveiling of the marker of the Mella Hotel Las Piñas, the ‘newest venture in the hospitality industry by Vista Land & Lifescapes,’ at the C5 Extension in Barangay Pulang Lupa, Las Piñas City.

The ceremony coincided with the birthday celebration of former Senate President Manuel Villar.

In his message, President Duterte reiterated his love for the country and said that he shall do everything to protect the Filipino people from the ills of society, most especially illegal drugs. He cited the Las Piñas Drug Rehabilitation Center (DRC) that he unveiled prior to this event, saying that it shall cater to illegal drug patients coming from the southern National Capital Region (NCR).

The Chief Executive also lauded the former Senate President for exemplifying his ‘Sipag at Tiyaga’ motto and for being an efficient public servant. He thanked the Villar Family for sharing their blessings with their ‘kababayans’ to help improve their conditions, apart from investing in the country that generate employment and bring in tourism.

The Spanish-themed hotel is the first among four (4) projects under the Mella Hotel Brand and ‘forms part of the city’s Historical Corridor’ within the Villar SIPAG Complex. The hotel features 132 rooms ‘designed and decorated with elements that are distinctly Las Piñas’, world-class amenities, variety of dining options, banquet halls and conference rooms. The building was designed by renowned Architect Ed Gallego while the hotel interior was designed by Ms. Ivy & Cynthia Almario of Grit Designs.

It is located minutes away from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Makati Central Business District (CBD), Bonifacio Global City (BGC), and Roxas Boulevard.
