President Rodrigo Roa Duterte led the culmination of The Anti-Corruption Summit 2017, dubbed ‘Breaking Chains of Corruption,’ at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City.

In his message, the President touched on several issues, including his call to craft a new Constitution that would make the government officials more accountable to stop corruption.

“Corruption is a very virulent thing that is almost hard to stop; our Constitution was crafted to allow accountability escape most of the time,” he said.

Spearheaded by the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC), in partnership with the Vanguard of the Philippine Constitution, Inc. (VAPI), the Summit concluded its two-day conference with outcome results and an agreed action plan based on the topics discussed during the Summit’s plenary session, which was presented to the President.
