State Visit of U.S President Barack Obama
April 28-29, 2014

His Excellency Barack Obama, President of the United States of America, embarks on a two-day State Visit to the Philippines as part of his four-nation Asia Pacific tour.

This is President Obama’s first visit to the country, where he is set to meet with President Benigno S. Aquino III to discuss certain issues such as the strengthening of the two countries’ strategic partnership.

The two leaders are also set to tackle the further development of long standing relations which focuses on expanding economic and defense cooperation, as well as intensifying political and security cooperation, trade, investments, tourism, and people-to-people ties.
