The Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed, also known as Saint Basil’s Cathedral, is a church located in the Red Square in Moscow, Russia. It is part of the Moscow Kremlin and Red Square UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) World Heritage Site since 1990 and is considered as one of the world-famous landmarks in Russia.

Once considered as the tallest building in the 1600s, it is officially known as the Cathedral of the Intercession of the Most. The cathedral was designed as a bonfire flame rising into the sky.
