President Rodrigo Roa Duterte called a special cabinet meeting among concerned government agencies at the Presidential Guest House in Panacan, Davao City.

The meeting was called to discuss the President’s proclamation of Martial Law in Mindanao last May 23, Tuesday.

The President’s declaration of Martial Law came after the violent clashes between the government troops and the Maute group in Marawi City. The President cut short his official visit in Russia and flew back in the Philippines on May 24, Wednesday, to take necessary actions regarding the conflict in the city.

Cabinet Secretaries, representatives from Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), Philippine Air Force (PAF), Philippine Army (PA), Philippine Navy (PN), Western Mindanao Command (WESTMINCOM), and Eastern Mindanao Command (EASTMINCOM) attended the said meeting.
