Busan is Korea’s second largest city that is situated on the most south-eastern part of the Korean peninsula. It is also the country’s number one trading port and the first truly international city. Busan, formerly called Pusan, connects Asia, Europe and North America.
Aside from this year’s ASEAN-ROK Commemorative Summit, Busan has hosted various international events such as the 2002 14th Asian Games, the final match of Korea-Japan World Cup and the Pusan International Film Festival that is being held yearly since 1995.
