President Rodrigo Roa Duterte presided over a situation briefing on Typhoon ‘Odette’ (international name: Rai) in Maasin City, Southern Leyte.
Considered to be one of the strongest tropical cyclones to hit Southern Leyte this year, Typhoon ‘Odette’ made its third landfall in the Province on 16 December 2021 at 4:50 PM with maximum sustained winds of 195 kph (kilometers per hour) and gustiness of up to 270 kph.
