President Benigno S. Aquino III witnessed the MOU signing between the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and Vivapolis at the Hotel Scribe in Paris, France.

As defined in the signed agreement, BCDA and Vivapolis will “explore collaborative opportunities in sustainable city planning, eco-governance, clean technology and sustainable resource management for the development of Clark Green City.”

Signatories of the MOU were BCDA President and CEO Arnel Paciano Cassanova and Vivapolis Representative Michèle Pappalardo.

BCDA has under its mandate the implementation of Clark Green City (CGC)—a 9,450-hectare flagship project of the Philippine government. This project aims to create a modern metropolis with mixture of residential, commercial, agro-industrial, institutional and information technology development within a balanced, healthy and disaster-resilient environment.

On the other hand, the Vivapolis represents French stakeholders (both public and private entities) seeking to promote a shared vision for sustainable urban development at international level and to promote the French know-how in the field of sustainable cities.
