President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. witnessed the signing ceremony of a partnership to increase access to the world’s leading full-sized all-electric motorcycles between the Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc. (IMI) – the manufacturing arm of AC Industrial Technology Holdings, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ayala Corporation – and Zero Motorcycles, a world leader in electric motorcycles and power trains based in California, United States of America.

The agreement involves IMI assembling Zero’s electric motorcycle models and other assemblies in its facility in Laguna. Initially, 200 jobs will be generated with more employment opportunities to follow as mass production goes into full gear within July 2023.

The signatories included Mr. Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala of IMI and Mr. Sam Paschel, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zero Motorcycles.

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Alfredo Pascual and Philippine Ambassador to the USA Jose Manuel Romualdez joined President Marcos Jr. in witnessing the signing ceremony.
