The members of the RTVM MANCOM and SUBCOM, alongside the GFPS team, completed a two-day seminar focused on the Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Framework (GMEF) and Harmonized GAD Guidelines (HGDG).

The session aimed to fortify their grasp of these tools, crucial for assessing gender equality within the organization’s policies, programs, and personnel with a focus on fostering gender-responsive plans for empowerment and equality.

The GMEF and HGDG are pivotal gender analysis tools utilized to gauge an organization’s commitment to gender mainstreaming. These assess the effectiveness of an agency’s policies, programs and projects in fostering gender equality. Additionally, these tools evaluate the level of gender awareness and competence among personnel, as well as the presence or absence of mechanisms supporting gender mainstreaming.

After the said seminar, participants have gained vital knowledge and skills necessary to actively contribute to organizational plans and initiatives focused on promoting gender equality and empowering women.
