The Rockefeller Center in Midtown Manhattan, is one of the most famous landmarks and a top tourist destination in New York City. Named after its builder, John D. Rockefeller Jr. , the Rockefeller Center is composed of several buildings and commercial establishments like the 30 Rockefeller Plaza, NBC Studios, the Ice Skating Rink, and Channel Gardens. It was designated as a historical landmark in December 1930.
