President Benigno S. Aquino III led the distribution of relief goods to hundred displaced families seeking refuge in Tacloban City Convention Center, the biggest evacuation site in the city.

In his visit, President Aquino checked on several families housed in the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) tents that were installed outside the convention center.

Wenefe Bacunata, a visually-impaired middle-aged flood victim, had a casual chat with the President. He later ordered the Department of Health (DOH) to supervise a medical assistance for her.

Currently, there are 300 families (1,434 individuals) sheltered in the convention center.
