President Rodrigo Roa Duterte fostered goodwill in his meetings with the Ambassadors-Designate from Morocco, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Namibia during their presentation of credentials at the Malacañan Palace.

H.E. Mohammed Rida El Fassi, Ambassador-Designate from Morocco, was the first to be received by the President. The new envoy is a seasoned diplomat with decades of experience working in the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and once served as the Moroccan Ambassador in Pakistan.

The President also received the letter of credentials from Ambassador-Designate Shiferaw Jarso Tedecha of Ethiopia. The new ambassador was accompanied by four other Ethiopian diplomats in meeting the President.

The presentation of credentials ended with H.E. Anne Namakau Mutelo, Ambassador-Designate from Namibia. Aside from her new designation, Ambassador Mutelo currently serves as the High Commissioner of Namibia to Malaysia and the Namibian Ambassador to Indonesia, Thailand, East Timor, Brunei Darussalam, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, and the Pacific Islands.
