President Rodrigo Roa Duterte received the credentials of H.E. Win Naing, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, during the presentation of credentials ceremony in Malacañan Palace.

Before accepting the envoy’s credentials, the President warmly welcomed the new ambassador to the country and noted the significance of his posting as the Philippines chairs the 30th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit on the last week of April.

President Duterte also conveyed his optimism that bilateral relations between the Philippines and Myanmar would be further strengthened with the arrival of Ambassador Win Naing.
