Newly-designated Ambassador to the Philippines H.E. Safdar Hayat was formally introduced to President Benigno S. Aquino III by Deputy Chief of Protocol Adelio Angelito Cruz as the new Pakistani envoy presented his credentials to the President in Malacañang.

Before his current post, Ambassador Hayat was formerly the Director General for Audit and Inspection of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
