President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. formally accepted the letter of credence of His Excellency Johann Brieger, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the Philippines, during a ceremony in Malacañan Palace.

The Philippines is one of Austria’s most important partners in the Southeast Asian region. Both countries are cooperating strongly in international fora such as the United Nations, particularly in the field of nuclear disarmament.
