Ambassador of Bangladesh Major General John Gomes (Ret) presented his credentials to President Benigno S. Aquino III in Malacañang.

Ambassador Gomes had participated in the United Nations Peace Keeping Mission in Tajikistan as the Operation Officer and had also served as the Team Leader of the Bangladesh Group of Observers. He was associated with international agencies like World Health Organization (WHO), World Vision, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and others.
