The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) gears up for the upcoming commencement exercises of the PMA “Salaknib” (Sanggalang ay Lakas at Buhay Para sa Kalayaan Ng Inang Bayan) Class of 2017 to be held on March 12, 2017.

Among the highlights of the graduation week is the annual “Dunking”, one of the best-known traditions being practiced in the academy. Usually done a day before the actual graduation day, graduating cadets are ceremonially dunked into the pool by their underclass cadets.

President Rody Duterte is expected to mark his first attendance to this year’s commencement exercises as President of the Philippines and as the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces.
