President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Presidential son, Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Ferdinand Alexander ‘Sandro’ Marcos III, received their second booster shots from Pfizer during the PinasLakas Vaccine Campaign at the Department of Health’s (DOH) Vaccination Site in SM City Manila.
DOH Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire and Manila City Mayor Maria Sheilah ‘Honey’ Lacuna-Pangan administered the booster shots to the Chief Executive and the Presidential son.
In his message, President Marcos Jr. underscored the importance of getting the second booster shot as defense against the Omicron variant, adding that being fully immunized is necessary to fight off the effects of COVID-19 to the nation’s economy and one’s health.
The President also assured the public that the government has enough supply for the booster campaign, and is anticipating the arrival of new vaccines developed specifically against the COVID-19 Omicron variants.
Presidential Management Staff (PMS) Secretary Maria Zenaida Angping and Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benjamin ‘Benhur’ Abalos Jr. joined the Chief Executive in the event.
