Photo Opportunity with the 2018 NCAA Pacific Rim Basketball Tournament Champions

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte met the players of the San Beda University (SBU) Basketball team who recently won the 2018 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Pacific Rim Basketball Championship (13-under Division) held in Bangkok, Thailand.

The President and the members of the basketball team posed for a photo opportunity, where President Duterte extended his congratulatory message to the rest of the team.

Key players of SBU led the rest of the team to win over the defending champions from Thailand. Prince Alao earned the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, while Point Guards Lanze Ronquillo and Nathaniel Manarang’s offense and defense abilities prevented their Thai opponents to grab another championship.

The team went rigid trainings under the supervision of head coach Manu Iñigo, assistant coach VL Sandalo, and coach Andy Mejos.
