The Philippine Embassy in Papua New Guinea was founded on September 16, 1975 when the two nations established bilateral and diplomatic relations. Currently, the Embassy provides an inclusive range of consular services to almost 40,000 immigrants. It also extends services to the citizens of Papua New Guinea by providing information regarding the Philippines’ economy, culture, sports, education, as well as the requirements and processes of getting a Philippine visa and Filipino citizenship.
Likewise, the Philippine Embassy is one of the 35 foreign representations in Papua New Guinea, and one of the 33 foreign representations in Port Moresby.
His Excellency Bienvenido Tejano is the current Philippine Ambassador to Papua New Guinea.
