Seven of the largest business groups in the Philippines gathered together to show their solidarity and commitment towards the creation of a climate-resilient nation through the signing of the 2015 Manila Declaration.

Among the groups that participated include the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), Philippine Business for the Environment, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Management Association of the Philippines (MAP), Makati Business Club (MBC), Federation of Philippine Industries and the Financial Executives of the Philippines.

The 2015 Manila Declaration is the private sector’s statement of support to lower emission development.

On the same occasion, various leaders from the country’s leading corporations launched the Water Alliance which aims to address issues and create solutions to looming water problems, as well as collectively fight to alleviate the effects of climate change on water resources.
