President Benigno S. Aquino III led the Philippine Army Change of Command Ceremony, honoring Major General Eduardo Año as the new Commanding General in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

In his speech, President Aquino expressed his admiration to the contributions of Major General Año in the Philippine Army. The President said he is confident that the general will be able to keep, if not, go beyond what the Philippine Army has achieved so far.

Prior to his appointment as Philippine Army Commanding General, Major General Eduardo Año was head of the Army’s 10th Infantry Division. He also served as head of the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) where he spearheaded missions that led to the capture of some high-profile wanted criminals and rebels.
