“Kailanman, hindi natin masusuklian ang serbisyo na kanilang inilaan upang mapanatiling payapa, ligtas, at maayos ang ating mga komunidad,” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said as he led a thanksgiving ceremony honoring the heroism of the uniformed personnel killed in action at the DusitD2 Davao in Lanang, Davao City.

With the theme, ‘PBBM: Pagpupugay sa mga Bayani ng Bansang Makabayan,’ the event gathered the Comprehensive Social Benefits Program (CSBP) beneficiaries to honor the slain or permanently incapacitated members of the military and the police force while in performance of their duties.

“Maraming salamat sa ating mga bayaning hindi lamang namuhay at nabubuhay para sa kanilang sarili, kundi para sa sambayanang Pilipino at sa sangkatauhan,” he conveyed in his keynote message.

The Chief Executive also urged all involved government agencies under the CSBP to ensure the effective and prompt implementation of all assistance to its beneficiaries.

“Siguruhin ninyo na ang mga benepisyo ay mabilis na makakarating sa ating mga mamamayan,” he ordered.

In a report released by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the CSBP has provided a total of PhP468.75 million in special financial assistance and PhP308.45 million worth of shelter assistance since 2016.
