President Rodrigo Roa Duterte urged the people to vote the candidates who support his campaign of protecting the Filipino people and preserving the integrity of the nation as he graced the campaign rally of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) in Zamboanga City.

The President reiterated his campaign for peace in his message, citing that progress can only be achieved if lawless violence and the proliferation of illegal drugs would be stopped.

“One is ‘pag wala tayong law and order for the entire country, and second is that if we cannot stop corruption in government, I will tell you now and I will guarantee that this country can never hope to rise. Even if you give a president five, 10 years term, it will all be the same. For as long as we have trouble in this country and we are into the communal wars, wala talagang mangyari,” President Duterte said.

He also acknowledged the support and trust of the Mindanaoans who helped him win the election as President.

“Nagkakampanya ako sa mga taong pinagkautangan ko ng loob. Pero ang problema nito dito sa Mindanao halos nanalo ako lahat. Sa lahat ng…sa lahat ng Moro areas, sa lahat, panalo ako. So maraming salamat sa mga kapatid ko,” he exclaimed.

Around 10,000 supporters trooped to the coliseum to witness the political campaign of the PDP-Laban’s senatorial candidates and guest candidates endorsed by the President.
