President Rodrigo Roa Duterte divulged anew that the proliferation of illegal drugs in the country has escalated compared to previous administrations because of the country’s vulnerable borders, he said in his speech as he led the the campaign rally of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino – Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) at the Batangas City Sports Coliseum in Batangas City.

“Ang drugs, right and left hinuhulog sa dagat. If you look at the Philippines and the map is in front of you, your right side is the east. Pacific Ocean ‘yan. And your left side is the west. Kaya West Philippine Sea. Diyan hinuhulog nila in the Pacific side and in the China Sea. Araw-araw ‘yan lumulutang diyan sa region pati dito sa inyo at doon sa Catanduanes kasi pera,” the President said.

He also disclosed about the prevalence of illegal drugs in Batangas and in Lucena, Quezon.

“Please do not be offended. Tutal para sa bayan man ‘to. At wala ho akong tinutukoy na tao dito. I talk on general terms. But apparently, Lucena and Batangas right now appears to with the red flags in the map of the drug scene,” the Chief Executive added.

Moreover, President Duterte stressed that if the Filipino people cannot have law and order, and stop corruption in the government, the country will never progress and develop.

“I tell you, even if you give me ten consecutive terms, at three years each, walang mangyari dito kapag walang law and order pati hindi namin mahinto ang corruption. ‘Yan ang totoo, coming from me,” he said.

The President vowed that for as long as he is an employee of the national government and a government worker, he will be working for the Filipino people by preserving the country and protecting its citizens.

During the campaign rally, President Duterte also proclaimed the PDP-Laban senatorial candidates and guest senatorial candidates before an estimated crowd of 5,000 comprising of PDP-Laban local candidates, political leaders, stakeholders and other guests.
