The Philippines, through the collaborative efforts of FinTech Alliance.PH and the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), opens the first-ever ‘Bagong Pilipinas: The Philippines Country Pavilion’ at the Singapore FinTech Festival on November 15, 2023.
According to FinTech Alliance.PH Founding Chairman Lito Villanueva, the Philippines Country Pavilion serves as a venue for more engagements and collaboration with key players in various industries worldwide, including the financial technology sector.
“With the support of all stakeholders and, of course, the national government, we are very much positive about having to further scale the exponential growth of digital transactions in the Phlippines towards shared prosperity amongst Filipinos,” he conveys.
“The Philippines is now regarded as Asia’s digital hotspot and, of course, the President being the chief promoter of the Philippines, we have seen quite a number of those investors who are very much interested into the Philippine Financial Technology space,” Chair Villanueva continues.
Prior to the opening, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. delivered his first-ever hologram speech before the participants of the SFF 2023, where he underscored the government’s commitment to strengthen digital technology.
“The Philippines is cementing its position as a hub for digital innovation and entrepreneurship, with a dynamic startup scene that holds immense promise. We invite you to look at these startups and explore potential partnerships to ensure our mutual growth and shared prosperity,” the Chief Executive remarked.
