President Benigno S. Aquino III administered the oath of office to newly appointed Supreme Court Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa in a simple ceremony at Malacañan Palace.

Justice Caguioa is the 174th associate justice of the high tribunal who got the unanimous approval of the seven members of the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC). He also served as the Chief Presidential Legal Counsel in the Office of the President and Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary prior to his appointment.
