“As your President and your Commander-in-Chief, I will stand resolutely behind and with the Armed Forces of the Philippines. I will ensure that the strength of the organization and the well-being of all of its personnel are attended to,” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reassured as he administered the oath of office to 40 newly promoted Generals and Flag Officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
In their oath-taking ceremony, the President urged the military officers to consistently uphold exemplary leadership and a clear vision for the nation’s Armed Forces amidst challenges of nation building and national security that the country continues to endure.
“You are to lead and mobilize the nation’s new generation of guardians and future leaders, and instill in them the virtues of discipline, valor and patriotic public service,” the President conveyed.
As the Commander-in-Chief asserted full support to the Armed Forces, he enjoined the officials to continuously execute a high level of security intelligence and analysis to strategically guide the planning and decision-making for the country towards a new era for the AFP.
“Your strategic leadership will be the fulcrum and the compass, so that the AFP will move in the right direction, guided by the Constitution and the democratic principles that we all have sworn to uphold,” President Marcos Jr. remarked.
